Laura De Laere – Decision Confidence in Compulsive Disorders
Supervisors: Ruth van Holst (Amsterdam UMC) & Pascal Mamassian (ENS)
Laura De Laere, supervised by Ruth van Holst and Pascal Mamassian, studies how decision confidence is altered in compulsive disorders using computational modeling.
My PhD aims to study decision confidence and how it may be altered in compulsive disorders. More specifically, it explores how confidence evolves during information sampling and how people decide when to stop gathering evidence. These processes will be investigated in obsessive-compulsive disorder and gambling disorder, with computational modeling used to uncover the mechanisms driving altered decision-making and confidence.
