Luis Glenzer – Perceptual and Causal Uncertainty in Multisensory Perception
Supervisor: Uta Noppeney (RU)
Luis Glenzer, supervised by Uta Noppeney, explores perceptual and causal uncertainty in multisensory perception using fMRI, Bayesian modelling, and neural decoding.
During my Psychology Master, I became fascinated by the neuroscientific perspective on how organisms are enable to consciously perceive and monitor their environment. My project investigates the interaction of perceptual and causal uncertainties in integrating audiovisual information, and how respective confidence is formed on a neural level. To answer this question, I will use Bayesian Modelling and Probabilistic Neural Population Decoding based on fMRI data.
