Alessandra Loretani – EEG decoding of perceptual confidence

Supervisor: Andrea Desantis (ONERA)

Alessandra’s doctoral research is supervised by Andrea Desantis and co-supervised by Kobe Desender and Guillaume Masson. Her project aims at decoding decision confidence from EEG signals, focusing on the potential amodal nature of these processes.

This PhD project aims to investigate the mechanisms underlying confidence judgments using EEG. The long-term goal is to develop a Brain-Computer Interface (BC) capable of decoding individuals’ uncertainty to assist in decision-making. My work will focus on applying machine learning algorithms to decode decision confidence from EEG signals, and facial expressions.
